Teresa

HAPPY NEWS: TERESA HAS BEEN ADOPTED.

Teresa is a very friendly young cat, approximately 3 to 4 years of age. She absolutely loves being cuddled.

Teresa is relaxed around other cats. She was found as a stray, so really appreciates a warm lap and a safe place to sleep. She would like a space of her own in which to settle, and perhaps a catio.

Teresa has been spayed and chipped. If you would like more information about Teresa, please contact our adoption co-ordinator Ros Pegorini: rosannapegorini@hotmail.com

Please microchip your cat!

A few weeks ago a lovely senior cat, Ginger, was brought in to us after being spotted, bedraggled and hungry. Thankfully, his owner’s daughter saw our post about him, and Ginger is now safely back at home.

This story has a happy ending, but far too often similar stories don’t. Every day, Cats Whiskers Rescue, other rescue groups and vets, take in cats that are obviously someone’s pet, but rarely make it home because they are not chipped.

We also regularly get messages from desperate owners whose cat has gone missing. Too often, the cat is not chipped or the details have not been updated.

So much distress for the cat and heartache for the owners could be avoided by microchipping ( and keeping details up to date. )

Microchipping is a very simple, low-cost, painless procedure. Your cat will not notice the chip once it is in place. Get it done!

Holly

Holly is a very affectionate, gentle 13 year old cat. She loves to sit on her fosterer’s lap for head nuzzles.

Holly is relaxed around other quiet adult cats and well- behaved dogs, and has settled in well with our fosterer’s other pets. Holly would not be content with boisterous puppies or lively kittens and young cats.

Holly is also happy around older children who can respect her need for a quiet nap.

Holly is on medication for high blood pressure. Without her tablets she loses her sight. Whoever adopts Holly must be responsible for ensuring that Holly takes her medication. Cats Whiskers Rescue is happy to help and advise to ensure that Holly continues with her treatment for high blood pressure to avert sight loss.

Callie

HAPPY NEWS: CALLIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED.

Callie is a young cat, approximately 1 – 2 years of age. She is very lively and kittenish.

She recently gave birth to a litter of kittens, all now adopted. We are now looking for a home for Callie. She needs a family that is experienced with lively cats and can devote time for play and interaction. She has been inside with her kittens for almost four months, so needs a lot of attention to keep her physically and mentally stimulated.

Callie must be the only pet, and in a home with no children. She has been spayed. If you would like more information about Callie, please contact our adoption co-ordinator Ros Pegorini: rosannapegorini@hotmail.com

Ginger

HAPPY NEWS: GINGER HAS BEEN REUNITED WITH HIS FAMILY.

This lovely old boy was found between Roydon and Harlow. He is a very friendly senior cat, unfortunately not chipped.

Ginger was in a very sorry state when he came in. He had either been living rough or neglected for some time.

He is safe with us and is thoroughly enjoying his food.

If you have any information about Ginger, please contact Cats Whiskers Rescue.

Wesley

HAPPY NEWS: WESLEY HAS BEEN ADOPTED.

Wesley is a young cat, 2 years of age. He is very friendly and affectionate and thrives in company. He was raised as a housecat but would benefit from having a home with a garden. He likes to play and run around, so needs space for his physical and emotional well-being.

He requires an adult family that can devote time to his needs. He is friendly but can suddenly change as he is scared of strange noises and people. He likes to be in constant contact with his family, sleeping in the same bedroom or sharing a sofa during the day.

Wesley requires a family that is experienced with cats as they will need to help him through his triggers and help him with his stress behaviour. Wesley is a lovely cat in need of a very quiet, nurturing environment.

Wesley has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He would need a home with no children or other pets. He prefers female human company.

If you would like more information about Wesley, please contact our adoption co-ordinator Ros Pegorini: rosannapegorini@hotmail.com

Four Kittens

HAPPY NEWS: THE KITTENS HAVE BEEN ADOPTED.

We have four siblings that we would like to home in pairs. They were born in October and have been raised by our fosterer since they were a few days old.

Their mother and brother, Callie and Felix, are also available for adoption.

The kittens are very lively and need families that can offer them a lot of interaction. They will need play, cuddles, and space to explore.

They need families that have experience of very lively cats. They would not be happy in a home with young children. The new family must be responsible for having them spayed/neutered at the appropriate age.

If you would like more information about the kittens, please contact our adoption co-ordinator Ros Pegorini: rosannapegorini@hotmail.com

Callie & Felix

HAPPY NEWS: FELIX HAS BEEN RESERVED.

Felix

Callie and Felix are mother and son who are to be homed together. Callie is a young cat, 1 to 2 years of age, and still very kittenish. Felix was born in October and is a sweet little boy.

Callie was taken in as a stray by a local vet in early October. A few days later she gave birth to five kittens. Our fosterer has been looking after the family since then.

Callie and Felix are particularly fond of each other and complement each other’s personalities. Callie is very lively and will need a family that can entertain her with lots of play. After 12 weeks indoors raising her brood she is ready to run around a garden and chase leaves. Felix is utterly adorable; he loves to explore and have head nuzzles.

Callie and Felix require a family that is experienced with lively cats and can give them a lot of physical interaction. Callie and Felix must be the only pets and in a home with no children.

If you would like more information about Callie and Felix, please contact our adoption co-ordinator Ros Pegorini: rosannapegorini@hotmail.com
