Cat Profile

Birch Green kittens

Harry and Simba are from different litters who were rescued from living outside in a colony at Birch Green who, with dedicated care by one of our fosterers over the past few weeks, have been finding their feet in a domestic setting. Harry and Simba have just been joined by another little kitten from the colony and we are currently seeing who is going to make friends with whom!

Harry, now 11 weeks old, has made great progress and is a very happy, playful kitten, always the first one out to have a cuddle and a stroke. He loves an ear scratch and belly rubs and his fosterer sees him becoming a lap cat. He loves playing and running around particularly after a pom pom ball, spring and cat nip sticks that look like broomsticks! A crazy, happy boy who loves everyone!

Simba, now 9 weeks old, came in to foster care more recently and was initially a very frightened little boy. He is gaining confidence and is now coming out of his shell and his funny, endearing little personality shines through more every day. He loves playing with a feather wand and will happily chase a pom-pom ball around. Simba has a big appetite and never says no to his food! He enjoys gentle strokes and a quiet fuss when sleepy. He seems to love his fosterer’s adult cats!

At this stage of their young lives, it would be preferable if someone is around at home during the day to give the kittens some dedicated play and interaction time. They will need access to a garden/secure outside space when they are old enough to go outside.

Technical bits: The kittens have been vet-checked, flea-treated and wormed. They will be vaccinated. Whoever adopts them will be responsible for microchipping and neutering at the appropriate age.
