Portia is a 5-year-old Bengal with stunning green eyes and a beautiful iridescent coat. She finds herself in foster care as her owner sadly could no longer keep her due to a change in circumstances. She has been a wonderful mother to her four kittens and this effort has taken a lot of her energy. As a result, she is currently on the thin side, but after some time to recover, she will soon be back to her gorgeous self, ready to get on with the rest of her life.
Her foster carer says Portia is a laid-back character and has a lovely calm and affectionate nature as you can see in the video below. She is easy to handle and, as Bengals are very social cats, we think she will be loyal companion to her new owner. Bengals are generally known to be intelligent, energetic, lively and full of curiosity, and require plenty of playtime and stimulation. A home where there is someone around for company and interaction for at least part of the day would be preferable. Portia will require access to a secure garden or outdoor space once she has settled into her new home.
UPDATE 3/9/25. Now her kittens are becoming more independent Portia is finding time for herself and is now chirruping to greet her fosterer!
Technical bits: Portia is neutered and will be microchipped and vaccinated. She will go home with 5 weeks free pet insurance.
