Max

Max is looking for a special family who can give him a nurturing home.

Max came to us as a bedraggled stray, limping on a sore paw. He is now ready to find a new home. He is still very, very shy and wary, requiring a family that can gently care for him. He needs a very quiet home with no other animals or young children. A family with experience of caring for timid or stray cats would be an advantage.

He will need a safe outdoor space, or he may suit living on a farm. He is litter trained and neutered.

Could you give Max a chance to thrive? Please email us at info@catswhiskersrescue.com

Hercules

HAPPY NEWS: HERCULES HAS BEEN HOMED.

Hercules is a very friendly 12 year old cat. He thoroughly enjoys head nuzzles and snuggling up on the bed.

Sadly, his owner can no longer look after him. Hercules is looking for a new home with a family that can give him lots of love. He enjoys sunbathing in the garden and chasing leaves.

He is neutered and microchipped.

Hercules is a direct re-home. If you would like more information on Hercules please email us.

Sasha and Senior Cats

A little while ago we were asking for fosterers to care for the lovely Sasha. As a senior kitty, it was unlikely that she was going to be homed and would need long-term foster care.

Thankfully, Sasha was homed, but we still need fosterers to care for cats like her.

Long-term fostering gives senior kitties the loving homes they deserve. Senior cats are often the best companions, wanting little more than lots of cuddles and a quiet place to sleep.

All of our fosterers are supported by our very experienced volunteers. The costs of caring for the cats is also covered by Cats Whiskers Rescue, such as litter and food. All authorized vet bills are also covered.

If you are interested in fostering, long-term or short-term, please contact us.

Lemmy

On September 2nd our lovely friend Lemmy went missing from Wormley, High Road, EN10.
He is an 18 month old male, neutered but not microchipped. At the time he went missing he was wearing a black collar with a magnet for the cat flap ( the collar may now be lost.)

Please, if you have seen Lemmy or know anything about him, text 07857466554, or contact Cats Whiskers Rescue.

Bijoux

Bijoux has been missing for 14 days from Roydon High Street.

She is approximately 13 years old.
She has a harlequin neopolitan stripe down the centre of her nose. Her eyes are amber gold – or on an overcast day may appear to have a greyer appearance.

Due to historical accidents she may be limping or walking awkwardly. She likes to climb trees and bask in Roydon church graveyard. It is possible that she may have wandered further from her usual hunting spots.

She is chipped and spayed.

Please call 07572367003 if you have any information, or contact Cats Whiskers Rescue.

Harlee & Bella

HAPPY NEWS: HARLEE AND BELLA HAVE BEEN ADOPTED.

Harlee and Bella are shy twins who must be homed together. They are approximately 13 weeks old and are ready for a nurturing forever home.

The kittens were very nervous when they first came to our fosterer as they had been born in the wild. However, with lots of love and attention the kittens have now become affectionate lap cats.

They’re happy to roam around the living room and jump onto your knee for cuddles, especially Harlee. Bella will come to you more confidently if Harlee is there. Harlee looks after Bella like a mum; she has to know where she is and calls out to her.

They love to play with each other and their human. Their favourite toy is the scratch tower.

Harlee and Bella are quite shy and require a quiet and calm home with no other pets or young children. They need a family that can gently play with them in a structured environment.

Pets at Home ‘Pedal for Paws’

We have received £400 by the ‘Pedal for Paws Summer Fundraiser’. We are extremely thankful to everyone who donated to the appeal and to Pets at Home for organising the fundraiser.

Cats Whiskers Rescue is run by volunteers and is funded entirely by donations. Cats and kittens have come into our care throughout lockdown, and it is only through the wonderful support of our volunteers and donors that we have been able to continue. We have been unable to have our own fundraisers during this difficult time, so we are extremely grateful for all help that has been offered to us.
